Budd Biggs

  (Am. 1906-1985)

Born Bancroft Putnam Biggs, “Bud” Biggs studied art at the Pratt Institute and was a watercolor teacher for thirty years as well as a successful commercial artist in Dallas, Texas. Bud taught a regular Thursday night class at his residence in Richardson, Texas and in Cloudcroft, New Mexico during the summer. Bud also conducted seminars around the world. He was an aquarelle purist relying only on the surface of the paper instead of white pigment. Bud Biggs attended Southern Methodist University and the St. Louis School of Fine Arts. He was a commercial illustrator and taught workshops at the Ramon Froman School in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Source: Monte Montague, February 2005
