Betsy Belcher received her B.F.A. in Printmaking from Indiana University, Bloomington, where she graduated with honors and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. She later received her M.A. in Painting, with a minor in Art History, from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, and her M.F.A. in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Born in Texas, she is a longtime resident of Dallas, exhibiting her paintings and drawings, teaching, and working in the graphic arts field. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections.
