A resident of Austin Texas for many years, she studied at the University of Texas and the Texas School of Fine Arts under the direction of Charles Berkley Normann. Assisted Charles Normann on mural work in Corpus Christi Texas in addition to her own mural work. She also did portrait work, including a commissioned portrait of Joe DiMaggio. After the death of her husband of 30 years, Fredrick Hart, she later married fellow artist Oswald Fell with whom she collaborated on a number of commissions for murals and stained glass design for churches and cathedrals around the country, including the National Cathedral in Washington DC.
